The Studio

Serious about Pilates.
Happily less serious
about everything else.

Studio 15 has been part of Paris 15e since 2012. A proper Pilates studio, a team of experienced instructors and a community that has grown one class at a time.

Our story

Small studio. Growing community. Bigger home.

Studio 15 opened in the 15th arrondissement in 2012 in a 100m² space dedicated to one thing: teaching Pilates properly.

People kept coming back. They brought friends. Classes filled. The timetable grew. Eventually, so did the studio.

In 2023, Studio 15 moved into its current 220m² home on Rue de Javel, with more room, more equipment and dedicated space for group classes, private sessions and teacher training.

Bigger studio. Same idea.

The space

Built around the way we teach.

Enough room for proper equipment and a full timetable. Small enough that instructors can still see what is happening in the room.

01

Reformer studio

Eight Reformer/Tower machines with space to move, teach and actually see the person next to you.

02

Mat studio

Maximum eight people. No rows of twenty bodies disappearing into the distance.

03

Private studio

A separate room and dedicated equipment for individual and personalised sessions.

Karen Seidman · Founder

Still teaching. Still learning. Still paying attention.

Karen discovered Pilates in South Florida in 2002 after a 17-year career with TWA and American Airlines. What started as personal practice quickly became something she wanted to understand properly.

She completed a comprehensive Pilates training programme involving more than 350 hours of study and practice, then went on to run a Pilates and exercise programme in Aventura, Florida.

After moving back to Paris in 2008 and teaching for several years, Karen opened Studio 15 in 2012. Her approach remains simple: understand the method, explain why the work matters and pay attention to the person in front of you.

And then there’s Sammy.

Our resident corgi is often at the studio, generally welcoming clients, supervising classes and occasionally taking a rather personal interest in people’s toes.

*Job title self-appointed.
